Valeria is an economist who has advised more than 70 companies throughout Latin America on a variety of issues, across many sectors.  She is an expert managing strategic communications and public affairs in complex situations with special attention towards mergers and acquisitions, financial communications, crisis management, government and legislative relations, corporate and public policy positioning, as well as media management and relations with the different stakeholders.  She has worked with consulting firms in both Colombia and the United States.

Additionally, Valeria has served as a legislative and political advisor to two ministers of finance in Colombia where she successfully led the legislative process for several bills.

Valeria is a graduate of the Universidad de los Andes, and holds a Master’s of Political Administration and Corporate Communications from the George Washington University, and an MBA from the INALDE Business School in Colombia.
